Many lawnmower models incorporate the Briggs & Stratton 6.5-horsepower engine, including both reel and rotary models by Craftsman, Yardman and MTD. One of the causes for hard starting of the normally reliable engine is a worn or dirty spark plug. The plug is located at the front of the engine and is easy to find by simply following the plug wire.
