Turns out that the wiring loom had gotten wedged between some plastic trim and the frame. When I had a passenger in the car and went over bumps or tight corners the two would rub together
Yeah fascia and loom for the steering wheel controls but I think you need these with all aftermarket systems, any car audio place will be able to make you one up around £30 I think mine cost. With the car play the headunit will show the navigation full screen as a sat nav, I'll get some pictures for you in a bit. If you need anymore just ask.
