for future reference to other readers of this post on my G510 under settings>system>About phone>system updates. this allowed me to flash the firmware with out doing the Hold Power and both volume keys. It made setting up the phone so much more easyier. Just for reference my phone is the Huawei ascend G510-0010 this was a phone direct from china.
